Ascot United lose out as Witney Town resign

HELLENIC Premier Division side Witney Town have resigned from the league with immediate effect.

The Oxfordshire club have folded due to financial trouble. They were evicted from their ground earlier this month as they were unable to pay the rent.

As a consequence, all results against Witney will be expunged and points tallies adjusted accordingly.

This means that Ascot United will lose three points, after beating them 3-1 but it will not affect Wokingham & Emmbrook who lost 3-2. Binfield have yet to play them this season.
