The talented forward has only returned to first-team football recently after he broke his leg against Shortwood United in early April.
In a bid to aid his rehabilitation process, Whiting was yet to play a full match for Wokingham and only came on for the final 20 minutes on Tuesday.
But with just 10 minutes of the match remaining, Whiting collapsed to the floor with no other players around and was subsequently taken to hospital for an assessment.
He is due to return to hospital today (Thursday) to see a bone specialist but Wokingham boss Roger Herridge fears the worst.
"It looks like he has broken his leg again, which is a real shame and all our thoughts are with him," he told the News.
