Emma Browns, 44, was the lucky winner of the jackpot after winning the cash through a Magners competition.

The nurse, from Woosehill, had bought the booze for her husband Mitch (pictured).

Mr Browns had been a fan of the tipple since he won a crate a few years ago.

His wife bought a crate at Tesco’s in Finchampstead Road, Wokingham, and texted in the code on it, winning the prize draw.

She said: “When I was called I couldn’t believe my luck! I even received the money the next day so it’s all been a bit of a whirlwind.

“I’m absolutely delighted and I’m going to use the money on our family holiday to the Isle of Wight.”

She will be treating her family, including Mitch, their 10 year old son, Aaron – who plays for Fulham FC – and nine-year-old daughter Emily, to the trip away.

Ed Shoebridge, head of customer marketing at Magners, said: “I’d like to congratulate Emma on behalf of everyone at Magners.”
