Police, fire and ambulance mobilised for false arson alarm in Wokingham

Fire crews were called at around 8.45am to a suspected arson attack in Peach Street, which later turned out to be false alarm.

All emergency services attended the address in Peach Street, Wokingham, this morning, but found no fire.

Station Manager Tregear Thomas, of Wokingham fire station, said: "We checked the building but there was no fire."

He added they then liaised with police, who confirmed it was a false alarm, but added that it was not a 'malicious' call, rather a 'miscommunication'.

Fire crews from Wokingham and Reading attended the scene, and spent around half an hour.
