Applications are invited from any artist living or working in Wokingham and the surrounding area.
Now in its fifth year, the route showcases local work around the town, with different venues exhibiting work from local artists. The show, in September, will feature new venues which will allow people to walk most of the trail, with parking nearby.
Christine Morgan, one of the artists, said: “Previous-ly we had venues across Wokingham borough, but now we’ve got venues focused on Wokingham town centre, all within a mile and a half.”
She added they had four new group venues, which would be announced in the coming months. She confirmed that St Paul’s Church, in Reading Road, Wokingham, would be a venue, coinciding with its 150th anniversary. For the first time the trail will not have the use of the Arts Bar, at Cantley Lodge.
Ms Morgan added: “We usually have about 30 to 40 artists exhibiting on the trail.” Local artists are also encouraged to open their homes for the trail, with the next trail taking place over the weekend of September 27 and 28.
Applications will be accepted until Saturday, March 8. Visit www wokinghamartstrail.co.uk
