Wokingham music group's call for new members

A MUSIC group is holding a free taster session in a bid to gain new members. Wokingham Choral Academy is hosting the event at Emmbrook Junior School, in Emmbrook Road, on September 5.

The group was founded in 2010 and was initially developed as the training choir for Wokingham Choral Society.

However it has since become a vibrant choir in its own right which meets on Thursday nights during term times.

It is led by Jo McNally, the professional Musical Director, and is a mixed choir of about 100 people.

There are no auditions and anyone over 18 is welcome - beginners as well as the more experienced singer. The group sings all types of music from traditional folk to choral classics with everything in between.

The taster session takes place between 7.30pm and 9.15pm.

For more details and to book your free place please contact Maggie Pye on membership@wokingham-choral-academy.org.uk Alternatively you are welcome to join us at one of our regular practice sessions to see if it's the choir for you. See www.wokingham-choral-academy.org.uk for more details.
