AN eight-year-old boy was taken to hospital after his finger got stuck in a fence.

The youngster was trying to climb the fence during playtime when his finger became trapped.

Teachers at the school phoned the boy's dad, who managed to remove the fence panel and took his son to Wokingham Community Hospital, in Barkham Road.

Firefighters from Wokingham fire station were then called to the hospital at about 2pm to cut the panel away from the boy's finger.
