The annual event is shaping up to be a showstopper, with a special Concours display of vintage and classic vehicles, including a 1932 Bentley 8-
Litre Blower on show – one of only 100 ever made.
This very same car sold for £1,850 82 years ago – the equivalent of £370,000 today.
A car once described as a ‘rolling structure’, the rare 1948 Cisitalia 202, should also be on show.
Kelly Neal, BEN events manager, said: “All the cars and motorcycles take part in a rally from Ascot Racecourse, through Windsor Great Park before arriving in Sunningdale for the fete.
“Come along for a closer look at the magnificent display of vehicles or just enjoy the many attractions; you’ll find something to interest your whole family.”
From the four-wheeled to the four-legged, guests can also enjoy a ‘Companion’ Dog Show, a birds of prey flying display, miniature train rides, bouncy castle and a climbing wall.
Entertainment in the form of music by AJ’s Caribbean Scene, a barbecue, a cake stall and a bar should keep everyone happy, with something for everyone’s taste.
The day is being organised by Lynwood Care Centre, based in nearby Sunninghill, which is owned by BEN.
A charity representing the automotive industry, it supports anyone who works, or has worked, the automotive or allied trades, and is facing difficult times or hardship.
Proceeds from the fete will go directly to Lynwood residents’ support, one of five support centres operated by BEN in the UK.
Entry to the fete – which takes place from 12.30pm – 4.30pm is £2 with children under 14 going free, as well as free car parking.
