Reading robber convicted after stealing jewellery from Finchampstead home

A ROBBER who entered a Finchampstead home and threatened the owners with an imitation firearm will be sentenced later this month.

Sandima Koroma, of Grovelands Road, West Reading, was convicted by a jury at Reading Crown Court on Friday.

The 32-year-old targeted the Finchampstead home on Saturday, November 16, last year, forcing his way through the front door.

He was dressed all in black, wore a balaclava and was holding an imitation firearm. He held the occupants at gunpoint, including young children and stole a large quantity of jewellery.

He was convicted of one count of robbery, one count of possession of an imitation firearm and one count of sexual harassment.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Karen Brown from Reading Force CID said: “This was an exceptionally traumatic experience for the victims and we are pleased to have secured the defendant’s conviction as a result of this isolated incident.”

He will be sentenced at Reading Crown Court on Friday, June 27.
