The Ascot Market, which is held in Car Park Three in High Street every third Sunday of the month, held its first one of the year on Sunday.
The market, operated by Thames Valley Farmers’ Market Co-Operative, had 1,000 people visit 13 stalls throughout the day.
Produce on sale included an assortment of fruit and vegetables, chickens and various types of breads.
Diane Harker, the market’s manager, said the turnout meant it was a great start to the year, with the market looking to re-introduce some favourite stalls from the past.
“I think it was a good start to the year as it went as well as we could have expected. The brilliant weather certainly helped us,” she said.
“This year we want to try to introduce some hot food stalls again as they used to be a favourite with customers.”
