Firefighters from Bracknell station were called to Muirfield House, in St Andrews, just after midnight today (Saturday).

The crew spent half an hour extinguishing the flames, which totally destroyed the wheelie bin - leaving rubbish lying all around the bin store, which was undamaged.

The incident has been passed to the police for investigation.

No-one was hurt.

The same crew was also called to a lay-by off Windsor Road, in Ascot, at about 8am where they discovered a smouldering towel.

Firefighters spent just minutes at the scene stamping it out.
