THERE is still time to enter the Bracknell Your Gardens competition – and this year a new “street gardens” category has been created.

The contest – jointly run by Bracknell Horticultural Association (BHA) and Bracknell Forest Homes – is open to the town’s residents, schools, businesses, youth and community groups.

The different categories are: front garden; community garden; commercial premises; young gardener (including schools); allotments; tallest sunflower; and street gardens.

A minimum of three residential front gardens in a street are needed to enter the Street category. Any collection of neighbours who enter will receive free sunflower seeds and advice from the judges

The closing date for entries is Friday, June 13.

You can enter at or call Wendy Smith (day-

time) on 01344 382933 or Margaret Corridan (evenings) on 01344 425881 for

an entry form or more information.

There will be a gala prizegiving evening in the autumn.
