THE licensing and safety committee at Bracknell Forest Council have rejected an application by McDonald's which would turn its Wildridings restaurant into a 24-hour facility.

The application was for both the restaurant and the 'drive-thru' to operate between 11pm-5am, making it a round-the-clock restaurant.

The panel, consisting of chairman Cllr Clifton Thompson, Cllr Nick Allen and Cllr Michael Brossard, said they could not ignore the concerns of residents over litter and the issue of noise overnight.
