Firefighters were called out to a bush fire in Bracknell today.

A crew from Bracknell and Camberley attended the blaze, which had ignited scrub land behind The Lookout, Nine Mile Ride.

Crew manager Richie Sage, from Bracknell, said: "The fire had spread across three hectares, which is about six football pitches. It was windy today, so that pushed the fire towards Bracknell."

The sporadic fire burnt parts of Swinley Forest, and specialist units from Camberley, including a land rover and water carrier, were deployed to quell the flames.

A crew from Bracknell spent around two hours at the scene, after being called out at 3.30pm.

No people or properties were affected.
