Firefighters called to car blaze after tyres explode in Bracknell

BRACKNELL firefighters were called to a car which was gutted after its tyres exploded near Downshire Golf Complex.

The fire crew was called to the parked car in West Road at about 3am after a resident had noticed the Jeep Grand Cherokee was on fire.

They spent about 25 minutes putting out the blaze with a hose reel and no-one was around the car at the time.

The fire is being treated as an arson attack and an investigation has been opened into the cause of the blaze.
