The Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) in Bracknell is hosting free training for local organisations.

‘Understanding welfare reform’, ‘Energy best deal’ and ‘Money savvy’ are courses for representatives of groups so they can then give advice to individuals needing help.

Each workshop covers aspects from government reform, the cost and content of energy bills and money management skills.

The welfare reform session runs on Monday, March 10, or Thursday, March 27, from 9.30am-1.30pm at Amber House, Market Street, Bracknell. It can also be arranged to take place on an organisation’s premises.

The workshop is a participatory one, involving case studies and practical exercises to help claimants understand the impact of reform.

The energy workshop is ideally aimed at frontline staff, and can be held at any location, ideally on Mondays or Thursdays. It covers practical advice on how to get the best deal.

Money Savvy is run at the Bracknell and District CAB on Wednesday afternoons between 1.30 and 3.30pm, but can also be arranged at your premises. It aims to help people manage personal budgets.
