The multi million pound scheme to upgrade Wokingham’s train station includes a new station link road, and work is currently underway to built a new signal junction at the top of Reading Road and Station Road.

Temporary traffic lights are due to be in place on the northern section of Reading Road on Tuesday January 7, where prep work had already been undertaken for a contra-flow system.

The contra-flow system will be in place to black out and redraw road markings, creating narrower lanes which will be in place for six weeks.

Due to the bad weather, an additional day of temporary traffic lights will be needed on Wednesday January 8.
