Workers, stakeholders, friends and councillors came together to celebrate Bracknell Forest Homes' fifth anniversary last week.

Dermot McRoberts, chairman of the association, said that in a five-year period it has seen a significant improvement to all of its properties, £60m of investment and its overall customer satisfaction has gone up from 75% to 91%.

Bracknell Forest Homes aims to provide a further 315 homes for rent and shared ownership over the next three years to ease the pressure on the borough's social housing list, more than a third of which will be in Jennett's Park.

A site in Crowthorne has already been earmarked for nine affordable family homes.

I suppose building more homes is important or necessary, but it is a great shame that we are losing many of Bracknell's open field's and sights of natural beauty . you can feel the new houses advancing further around you its very claustrophobic in Bracknell now and becoming more and more unattractive . From seeing and being told how it used to look by residents who have lived In Bracknell most of their lives it seems a very different kind of place .
