Rhys Maher, 25, from Great Hollands in Bracknell, stole the goods on three seperate occasions.
He pleaded guilty to burglary and theft in a dwelling and theft from a person at East Berks Magistrates' Court in Slough on October 29 and was sentenced on Monday (November 5).
Maher stole an X box games console from a house in Waylands Close, Harmanswater, Bracknell on September 15.
He then snatched a bag containing a laptop from a 46-year-old woman near Great Hollands Primary School on October 25 and later admitted selling the laptop to buy heroin.
He stole a bank card in Wordsworth, four days later and withdrew £30 to buy heroin.
Det Con Neil Slocombe, investigating officer, said: "Maher stole from three victims and used the proceeds of his crimes to buy heroin.
"The victims were understandably very upset by these incidents and we are pleased for them that Maher has been imprisoned for the crimes against them."
