Broomhall Recreation Ground hosted Sunningdale’s Big Lunch – a national initiative to try to get communities lunching together – on Sunday. About 40 people, ranging in age from three to 80 – attended the event, with families taking their own picnics
As well the food, both young and old took part in a range of games including tug of war and an obstacle course which featured a mini egg and spoon race and sack race.
Christine Gadd, chairwoman of Sunningdale Parish Council, said: “The Big Lunch was fantastic and it went very well. The games were great fun and it was a really good atmosphere.
“The weather was very nice too and I’m glad it stayed sunny throughout the day.”
