RESIDENTS have voted in favour of the Ascot and the Sunnings Neighbourhood Plan following a public referendum yesterday.

It was revealed that 91% of respondents had voted in favour of the plan, with polling stations across the parishes of Sunninghill & Ascot and Sunningdale accepting votes yesterday.

In a statement, the plan's steering group said: "We want to thank the 50 local volunteers who have worked so hard for over 3 years to make this plan happen. We also want to thank all those in the community who have contributed by participating in the consultations and attending our events."
