A team of four pupils in Years Five and Six from Cranbourne Primary School competed in the Berkshire Schools Gymnastics final last Tuesday, beating competition from schools in Slough, Maidenhead and Windsor.
The team had to produce three different routines -–wowing judges in the process.
It means the team went one step better than last year, where they finished as runners-up in the Berkshire final.
The result followed their win in the previous round – beating other schools from across Bracknell Forest in their heat at the Pinewood Centre in Wokingham last month.
Ruth Huckle, the school’s headteacher, said: “We are cock-a-hoop and over the moon with the girl’s success.
“I am really pleased for them and because we are such a small school it makes it even more impressive. I think we’ve got a bit of a reputation to defend now!
“Pinewood Gymnastics Club were so impressed that they offered places to the two youngest members of the team too which is fantastic.”
