RESIDENTS once again have the chance to have their say on how part of their council tax is spent.

As part of the Royal Borough’s fifth annual Your Local Budget consultation locals can choose how £225,000 is spent on projects they believe deserve the cash.

For the first time residents will receive their voting paper in the post along with their 2014/15 council tax informatio=n.

The pink leaflets will drop through the letterboxes of more than 61,000 homes over the next fortnight.

Some £25,000 will be devoted towards benefiting the people living in Ascot and the Sunnings.

Cllr David Burbage, council leader, said: “Over the past four years more than £1m of Your Local Budget money has been spent on services and projects that are top of our residents’ priority lists.

“Their votes have given them a direct say in council spend and this means that local democracy wins.”

As well as being delivered to all tax-paying households the consultation form will be available at the One Stop convenience stores in Sunninghill and Sunningdale and at all libraries and leisure centre in the borough.

It can also be accessed online by visiting

The closing date for responses is Friday, May 5.
